Increased compressor performance and compliance for leading bakery plant

We have completed a 4 week upgrade project at one of Europe’s leading food manufacturing plants, delivering significant performance and operational capacity gains, whilst also increasing compliance levels, all without disruption to plant productivity.

During a compressor energy data logging exercise, undertaken by our engineers, we identified that due to increased demand through production, the plant had reduced standby capacity from the fleet of four compressors, posing a potential threat to future plant continuity.

Working in partnership with the plants senior engineers, AFS recommended an upgrade to the plants air compressor configuration and through the addition of a new desiccant dryer, the client could also achieve increased BRC compliance levels.

By commissioning two larger compressors, AFS were able to ensure that the plant had increased compressed air capacity to enable future expansion and also had a sustainable standby solution that ensured ongoing production rates should a compressor fail.
